The latest Google’s smartphone Pixel 2 is launching on October 4

See The Latest Google’s smartphone Pixel 2 that will Be launching on October
Google is launching the successor to its Pixel smartphone on October 4, as confirmed by a new advertising campaign and official landing page citing the date, and suggesting that anyone who is “thinking about changing phones” tune in for more information coming on October 4.

The landing page asks for an email address to be alerted with updates, and this same date and a tagline about asking “more of your phone” which appeared on a billboard in Boston this week (via MobileSyrup). Previous reports had pegged the date for a Pixel successor unveiling at or around October 5, too, so this is in keeping with that.

Rumors around the Pixel 2 (or whatever it ends up being called officially) have been flying for a while now, suggesting it’ll use a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, as well as ‘squeezable’ pressure sensitive sides, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Leaks in Android Oreo have also seemingly confirmed a new always-on display, similar to the one found in Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

The Pixel 2 is also said to be coming in both a standard and an XL version, just like the original released last year, but the larger device is said to have some additional features on top of its 6-inch display, including very narrow bezels, whereas the smaller phone could more closely resemble last year’s model.
We’ll have more information in less than a month, but based on the landing page and tagline, it seems like Google will be emphasizing its virtual Assistant again with this hardware revision. Google also released a teaser video on its YouTube channel that suggests a number of other key areas of focus, including battery life, camera, self-updates, voice recognition, speed durability and more.

Google Play Music now works with Apple’s CarPlay

I really don’t know how many Android fans who’ve bought into Google’s ecosystem would favor CarPlay over Android Auto, but maybe Apple’s in-car software is your only choice. If that’s your situation, you can at least now stream from the Google Play Music iPhone app using Apple’s finger-friendly in-car software, as reported by 9to5Mac. The CarPlay version of Play Music is divided into four sections: Home, Recents, Music Library, and Stations. Home is where you’ll find recommendations — both based off your listening habits and other influencing factors like the time of day, your mood, or location.

This is Google’s first app to offer CarPlay support. While you’d expect Google Maps or the popular Waze to be more obvious choices, Apple doesn’t currently allow navigation alternatives to Apple Maps on CarPlay. But the software definitely has plenty of choices when it comes to music: you’ve got Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and now Google Play Music.

To get Play Music up to date for use in your car, just update to the latest version on your iPhone.

Google launches Hire, a new service for helping businesses recruit

Earlier this year, Google launches its Google for Jobs initiative and its job search feature in Google Search to help job seekers find the right job for them. Now it’s launching this new tool to help businesses manage their candidates. The missing piece here is giving businesses tools for managing job posting — and maybe posting them directly to Google’s new jobs widget in Search. As the company pointed out when it launched its AI-powered job search engine, though, it has no interest in doing this and is instead partnering with major online job boards.

Google today announced the launch of Hire, a new service that helps businesses more effectively manage their internal recruiting process. Hire offers businesses a cohesive applicant tracking service that’s deeply integrated with G Suite to make it easier for businesses to communicate with their candidates and track their progress through the interview process.

Google says Hire is meant to help businesses do away with manually tracking candidates. “Hire and G Suite are made to work well together so recruiting team members can focus on their top priorities instead of wasting time copy-pasting across tools,” Google product manager Berit Johnson writes in today’s announcement.

While Hire itself is interesting in its own right, it’s also interesting to see that Google is now looking to use the G Suite tools and back-end services it has developed over the last few years to solve problems in very specific verticals. I wouldn’t be surprised if the company decided to launch more of these projects now that it has the foundation in place to do so.

6 Java Applications Web Hosting Provider You Need To Check Now

Once you’ve developed your Java-based website, you need a good web hosting provider. Java hosting requires a scalable server such as Servlets, XML, EJB and JSP. This is a step above hosting platforms that just offer Java support (of which there are many). A web hosting provider should be easy to use, compatible and capable of running programs smoothly.

Given that Java is the perhaps world’s most preferred language, most hosting platforms today will host Java. But Java applications need providers that are scalable, growing with you. A good platform will provide multiple Java-oriented services.

We used multiple criteria to pick our top contenders for hosting Java applications — installation processes, pricing, Tomcat versions and more.

Google launches a new Backup & Sync desktop app for uploading files and photos to the cloud

As promised last month, Google has today launched its new “Backup and Sync from Google” tool, which aims to help users more easily back up the files and photos on their computer. The utility is meant to replace the older Google Photos desktop app, as well as the Google Drive client applications for both Mac and PC.

Essentially, it’s combining the older apps’ functionality into one experience, so you don’t have to use two different software programs for the very similar purpose of getting files off your computer and into Google’s cloud.

The new tool offers a simple user interface, where you’ll first sign into your Google account, then select the folders you want Google to continually back up to Google Drive. Because it’s replacing current users’ existing Google Drive installations, the tool will respect any current settings you’ve already specified on Mac and PC, Google explained last month, when it announced the tool was in the works.

In addition to backing up files on your desktop computer, the new software also can be used to back up photos from USB-connected devices, like cameras, as well as SD cards. After the back up is complete, your files can be accessed in Google Drive from any device — including your computer, phone or tablet. Your photos and videos, meanwhile, will be available in Google Photos.

Both products‘ websites are currently hosting the updated software, which is a free download for consumers.

Google says that business users — meaning those on G Suite — shouldn’t download this new software utility at this time.

The company is planning to release a new enterprise-focused solution called Drive File Stream, which will roll out to all G Suite Basic, Business, Enterprise, Education and Nonprofit domains later this year. (G Suite users can apply to the Early Adopter Program if they want to try Drive File Stream ahead of its public launch.)

From within the Backup and Sync software, you’ll be able to configure a number of settings and preferences, including whether you want photos and videos uploaded to Google’s cloud in their original quality (as pro photographers would likely choose), or just high quality.

More-advanced users may want to make other changes, like selecting how they want Drive to handle file deletions, or changing the download or upload rates.

Finally, you’ll be able to upgrade your Google Drive storage subscription from the app. That’s something you might need to do if you take this opportunity to offload a lot of your desktop clutter into the cloud.

Websites Without HTTPS (SSL Certificates) to be Flagged by Google Chrome From January 2017

Google will start to downgrade HTTP sites on its Chrome browser from January 2017 by marking them out as less secure in a bid to stop people visiting sites run by crooks and scammers.

The move means that legitimate website operators without HTTPS websites need to act. Google has long hinted at such a move so it should not come as a huge surprise.

"To help users browse the web safely, Chrome indicates connection security with an icon in the address bar. Historically, Chrome has not explicitly labelled HTTP connections as non-secure," said Emily Schechter from the Chrome Security team in a blog post.

"Beginning in January 2017 (Chrome 56), we'll mark HTTP sites that transmit passwords or credit cards as non-secure, as part of a long-term plan to mark all HTTP sites as non-secure.
http site to be flag by google chrome

"A substantial portion of web traffic has transitioned to HTTPS so far, and HTTPS use is consistently increasing. We recently hit a milestone with more than half of Chrome desktop page loads now served over HTTPS.

"In addition, since the time we released our HTTPS report in February, 12 more of the top 100 websites have changed their serving default from HTTP to HTTPS."

Google is very keen on this sort of thing, and recently applied the HTTPS padlock sign to Gmail.

"Studies show that users do not perceive the lack of a 'secure' icon as a warning and become blind to warnings that occur too frequently. Our plan to label HTTP sites more clearly and accurately as non-secure will take place in gradual steps, based on increasingly stringent criteria," said Schechter.

"Chrome 56 will label HTTP pages with password or credit card form fields as not secure, given their particularly sensitive nature.

"In following releases, we will continue to extend HTTP warnings, for example, by labelling HTTP pages as ‘not secure' in Incognito mode, where users may have higher expectations of privacy.

"Eventually, we plan to label all HTTP pages as non-secure, and change the HTTP security indicator to the red triangle that we use for broken HTTPS."

When installing GApps, you’ll want to make sure that you install the version that matches your Android ROM. For example, if you are running Android 4.4 Kit Kat, download and install GApps for KitKat. You can find your Android version number by going to Settings and About device. It’s as easy as cheesy.

Step 2: Boot into Recovery (CWM or TWRP)

Now that you have your GApps file, boot into recovery using your recovery combo buttons. If you don’t know which buttons to press, to access recovery, take a look at this handy guide on just that topic. If you want to get right to it, Hold Vol Down + Power for 5 seconds, which should work on most phones.

Once you are in recovery, you should see something like this (within this article we’ll show how things look on TWRP on the left, and ClockworkMod on the right)…

Google to Launch Duo Video Calling App

Google has started the rollout of end-to-end encrypted video calling app Duo as the company rejigs its video chat line-up to take on Apple's FaceTime video calling service. Announced at this year's Google I/O, Duo, along with its AI messaging app Allo, are set to supersede not only Google Hangouts but even more functionality from Google+. The Duo rollout has begun for those who pre-registered as part of Google Play's new Early Access scheme. It's based on your phone number, like WhatsApp.

Google has confirmed in a blog post that the release is worldwide and will be completed in the next few days, bringing it into direct competition with apps like WhatsApp and FaceTime and possibly finally bringing video calling to the mainstream.
google duo video calling app

It also includes a feature called Knock Knock that allows the person being called to see the caller before answering the phone.

"Knock Knock makes video calling more spontaneous and welcoming, helping you connect with the person before you even pick up," Google claimed.

So where does this leave Hangouts? The short answer is 'de-emphasised', with plans to concentrate it on the enterprise sector.

One early feature that will be gone, however, is Hangouts OnAir, the vaguely Periscope-like feature which still tangles Hangouts with Google+. This will be removed from Plus and will become part of YouTube from 12 September. YouTube Live, to be precise.

Useful google tips and tricks to help improve your search result

Its no doubt that google is the world most used search engine because of its simplicity and how it gives relevant required result to its users. you can find almost 90% of anything about life in google search engine because of how everything about how we do and what we do is been uploaded and posted everyday. Many people uses google as their default search engine but only some have the ability to search  and get everything they need and that is what necessitate this post to enlighten those who don't always get what they are looking for in google.

Today i will share some relevant tips and tricks on how you can use google and search everything you need which should either be in form of file  types, serial keys for product software's, get result from a specific site only, compare related site or blog to another, get definitions of everything easily and many more.
Now without wasting much effort and time let's get started

Search within the boundary of a specific site or blog

Many users want to search a specific file or information on a particular site but as a result of using the wrong keywords, google will be displaying result from other similar related sites. For instance when you want to search information related to education and you prefer result from a specific university then here is how you can do it

    site:unimaid.edu.ng release of admission

Note: site:unimaid.edu.ng denotes that your result will be from this website only and  any word that comes after it or before it is your search words.

With this keywords you can have a result from google about release of admission within the boundary of unimaid website, or for instance  your searching something on the net but you want the result within the boundary of this blog

    site:wikiban.blogspot.com free browsing on android
here is the result on google

As you can see all the above result are from this blog likewise for other site that you did.

Search by file type or extension

I think this one is more preferable and suitable for those addicted to downloading of school information and/or assignment in PDF format because with this search tip you can specify which type of file you want in your search result e.g files with this extensions, JPGs, PDFs, PPTs or XLS format. Here is how you can search it

Filetype: [follow by the 3-letter abbreviation before the search keyword]

    eg filetype: pdf learn blogging

you will have this result with pdf formats

Likewise for other format that you search

Search useful related site or pages

Many sites offer similar content which is related to one and the other, you might be getting important updates from one blog which is used to deliver quality content about news and entertainment but you don't know that there is another blog which is far better than that you already know. Now the question is how can you get similar site or blog which operate in the same niche i.e related pages or site. Let's take google for instance as a search engine, you might want to switch to another search engine apart from google, That's how you are going to  do it:

    related:google.com
you can see there is alternative of using yahoo, bing and other, and all the sites displayed at the result are search engine sites.

Search for words and get the definition easily

Applicable to students who are finding definition of some words a little bit tough than as usual, you can be able to get definition of word directly from google search engine without being send from one site to the other. Simply and easily put define: before any word in google search box to get its definition easily

    define: marketing

    Remember word not sentence

Be specific by using web friendly and less words

Some people tend to claim that they don't find what they are searching in google, which i will consider their statement as false because in this generation that we are, you can find almost everything in search engine but how do you search is the problem. Let's take for instance you want to know some clue in solving a mathematics question, you don't have to write all the formula's in google search box rather write the name of the topic and formula which you can have at list a brief explanation of the in problem in question.

When always searching on google don't exceed your keywords to be almost over 70 or more characters in length so that you will have the required result on the spot at the first page.

e.g how to get the best tech blog in nigeria use this instead best tech blog in nigeria or nigeria best tech blog always try to minimise words and go straight to the point.

Sometimes you might want to look at the meaning of a certain phrase but as a result of you not specifying, the search engine can bring some sort of result which you are not in need. Always use quotation mark in searching for a phrase for instance "mark zuckerberg" will present good and direct result than mark zuckerberg

How to search for product and software serial keys easily

You may download a software but don't have the product key and yet when you search google doesn't produce desired result. you can easily use this method  to search for product serial keys at once.

At the google search engine box, type 9FBR at the end of the software or product your searching for the serial, e.g

    windows 9FBR
    here is the result
